Robots have taken over our holidays.

This week’s Fan Fun Friday is dedicated to Roboy Red, the all-ages comic by Rich Faber and John Gallagher. I’m a big supporter of all-ages comics because kids who read comics grow up to be adults who read comics. I know some pretty great adults who just happen to read comics.

With Valentine’s day looming around the corner and my habit of doodling up cupids, I chose to depict America’s favourite boy-robot as the arrow slinging cherub with a jet pack. I know that when I was a little kid, I had the arduous task of picking the perfect card to hand out to my classmates. Now that I’m older, I’m trying to come up with the perfect cheesy line for a card.

John, Rich, and my old friend, Jamar also host the Comic Book Diner podcast. They’re holding a HUGE CONTEST with Valentine’s Day 2011 being the deadline. I’m only telling this to you now because I figure you prefer the pressure of a last minute deadline like I do.  🙂

I love getting fan art. It’s wonderful to see that someone has dedicated their time and effort out of their busy schedule and made something special. If you’d like to submit some Legendary Woodsman art, please contact me.
