Don’t try this at home

If I remember correctly, I was working on a thesis project for University on the subject of comics and I interviewed Chris over e-mail for the project. Chris was working on Electric Spirit, a comic that  teaches Japanese as part of the reading experience. That was some time ago…

Chris is now working on Odori Park, the webcomic story of Japanese Arisa Nishimori, from snowy Hokkaido, Japan, and American Colin Easton, from Suburbia, U.S.A., navigating the culture shocks of romance, parenthood, family, friends, and making a living in an ever shrinking world.

Secretly, I suspect that this is Chris’s diary comic. Don’t tell him that I think that though. It’s a secret after all.

My favourite moments of Odori Park are the references to Super Sentai or Power Rangers because it brings me fond memories of watching it on TV and then practicing kicking the air and posing for an hour after the show. I would have been 17 at the time. No one said I was cool.

I love getting fan art. It’s wonderful to see that someone has dedicated their time and effort out of their busy schedule and made something special. If you’d like to submit some Legendary Woodsman art, please contact me.
